I think it plays like\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665\u2665and is basically jank that gets a free pass.I got this for the visuals mostly. I wish I liked this better.I didn't enjoy the feel of the controls much. Could be that it's just that I hate souls combat in my case, but some people who played DS also say the same thing.Still, I found it neat. It basically is an indie dark souls. This might be my most liked game of games that I don't like.. With the new patch the game fells more fluid. Now it feels that if/when I get hit its now because my timing was off or I didn't roll in time. Even if some mobs can take you down in just two hits (Cyclops) but it adds to the fun. I'm a huge fan of dark souls and dark souls type games so with the new adjusments (Thanks devs!) I full recommend this game to people that want a fair and honest challenge.. Damn game got me emotionally involved like in the old days. I’m very very sad ;-(((((((. enjoyed the story and the graphics and the atmosphere. sows it's indie roots but oerall very nice and fun, kinda hard but then it's suppose to be. Ran ok, had no issues, been having fun and am not diswayed from completing the game. Lke it ovferall and recommend it for those into this genre of game.. Definitely worth it if you like Dark Souls; its not too complex but has a ton of atmosphere and looks beautiful as well. And ofc lots of thing copied form the souls series, including the imput lag haha.. Fall of Light is the perfect blend between Dark Soul and ICO with a bit of flavor of Diablo. Great Game!. I do not at all see what makes this a playable game. I'm out after < 30 minutes.The graphics are poorly done with sad cut scene voice overs. The controls are terrible. We know what computer game controls should be ... this is clearly a terrible map of console controls. Extremely awkward.The layout is terrible. We're presented with a person to fight, however no weapon until you run for quite a ways. And then he can't be beat.Completely lost on the developers is any sense of fluidity and engagement. I just wanted something fun to do, not a skill building tutorial on managing my toon through a bad interface and thin story.. Fall of light is a pretty solid game despite a few flaws.(there may be a few spoilers here)I really enjoyed the story and the graphics and the atmosphere. Coming from a huge fan of the dark souls series, this game definitely draws from that sort of genre. There's no hand holding here and at times it was difficult to figure out your next move. But that was a welcome feeling that grew the more I played the game. There is no map. A lot of trial and error but usually with positive results.My only major gripes were the cut throat end of game, or end of getting a GOOD game if you failed even once to get the girls body to a ray of light. That was a bit too brutal. The player shouldnt be punished for one tiny mistake and letting a good 15+ hours all be gone to waste. There's no previous save file to revert to so your stuck with the not great ending and all your hard work is gone. I appreciate being able to continue my game knowing that I wouldnt get the good ending but still. a horrible design flaw in my opinion.My only other issue was after recieveing a sword from the blacksmith. I could very easily 1 hit EVERY monster in the game, and any weapon that I found after that sword was a useless find. even the boss battles were over in a matter of mere seconds. The first half of the game was hard and even brutal at times and I found myself very cautiously traversing the levels, but with that blacksmith sword...way too easy.Dont get me wrong, despite these faults, I loved the game. I found all the memories, but only collected 86 of the Shards of Luce. I Highly doubt I will go back and replay to find them all and to try and get the good ending. but we'll seeGreat effort on the game designers though. I hope to see more from you guys in the future.
